In the early years, when Peter was a little boy, it took him skiing on the Goldknopf, because from there the magnificent view over the whole Seiser Alm and distant mountains it all promises.
 
How it all began on the Goldknopf.....

1986  Peter and his sister, Brigitte Malfertheiner (children of the famous inn Ritsch Schwaige), leased the hotel Goldknopf.

In July 1987, the mountain hotel was purchased by the Regolin family from Grado. Thus, the first difficult conversion work began, as it was a mountain hotel in very bad conditions.

In February 1990,  the first son Patrick was born, since that time the hotel is managed by Peter and his wife Heidi.

In June 1995,  the second son Fabian was born. At the same time,  the Tavern became a sauna area with Jacuzzi and solarium.

In 1997,  was built by the large sun terrace above the restaurant an additional construction of eight guest rooms and 8 small rooms have been reorganized to 4 rooms.

2000: The entire branch was torn down and built from scratch.

2005: The buffet area, dining room and Tyrolean became a new interior design.

In the autumn of 2008, the existing sauna world was extended with an oasis, heated waterbeds and a Brechel bath.

After long planning, our big renovation in March 2010 was approved by the municipal office and the landscape office in Bolzano - the reconstruction began at the end of May 2010. The Goldknopf hotel got a new view and was expanded to six other rooms. The old building became a new, modern kitchen, a bright entrance hall with lift, large heated ski room, separated public toilet. We're looking forward to the indoor pool with a magnificent panoramic view over Alpe di Siusi.
